Little Brother

I woke up this morning. I mean I really woke up. The fog that had clouded my mind the past couple of weeks had finally risen. My recent mishaps with the law had left me in prison and out the next day. Luckily my girlfriend could pay bail money. That didn’t change the simple fact that I had court in a few days.  Breaking and entering was what I was charged with. Who knew that going into a cemetery at night after if closed could lead to a troubled youth going to jail for the night.  I ran over in my head what I would say to the judge and jury my mind feeling confused. I had just wanted to see my brother. His name was Max. Just two weeks ago he got into a terrible car crash. I’m glad to say that none of this was his fault. He had just gotten his license and did everything right. The man who hit him was drunk and going so fast he lost control of his vehicle and rammed right into my brother. I was in the car also. I tried so desperately to save my favorite and only brother. My injuries were minor and could easily be fixed. A few broken bones was no big deal. Now Max he had it rough. They couldn’t do anything for him he was so badly hurt. I cried for the first time in years when they said he had died almost instantly. Everything we had been through for what nothing. If I knew I wouldn’t get in trouble that man who killed him would be buried 6 feet in the ground.

Amanda my old girlfriend.

Today while shopping with my wife I ran into my old high school girlfriend Amanda. I politely greeted her telling her how much she’s changed and that she was looking great. She disdainfully looked at my wife giving her the 3rd degree. "John, can I talk to you for a minute I have some questions" said Amanda looking to me and back at my wife. I shrugged "sure I guess" I said quickly. Amanda just stared at me. "I just can’t believe you, you are such a big liar." Amanda exclaimed brushing her hair from her eyes looking frustrated. I glance toward the floor trying to remember what all I had told her back in high school. I told her that I'd make her my princess and how we'd get married and have children together. When it had come to a point in our relationship that any reasonable man would want to marry the girl of his dreams I blew it. She had been crying, that day I was at her house she seemed so upset and confused. How could I make it up to her, I was married and had a baby one the way. She couldn’t tell that my wife was pregnant yet we had just found out. Thinking for a minute I decided I would invite her over for dinner to catch up with her for old times’ sake. “Hey Amanda, would you like to come over for dinner and catch up, I asked politely. She frowned at me walking out the store without buying anything. I would never see her again.

The Pizzaman

It was a cold and stormy night and out of nowhere there was a knock on the door, but who could it be, maybe Erika or Alex“Should we go check?” Amanda  said to Jeff as they looked at the door cautiously. “I’m not expecting any guests tonight though,” Jeff said.” Ill check it out”, Amanda says bravely stepping closer to the door.  Jeff watches studiously, preparing his body to move at a moment’s notice when they see it is just the pizza man standing outside the door they relax. Amanda gives him the pizza money. “SORRY I forgot I called him,” Amanda says. After a while the pizza man reveals that he is wearing a mask "I’m not the pizza man" the pizza man laughs. The smell permeated the air as the mask came off, rotting flesh wasn't a pleasant smell. What was under his mask was enough to horrify anyone for many years to come. Red eyes glowed from his face that was pale as a white rose but not as pretty. Along with the paleness scars covered his face; it was almost as if he had been chopped into many pieces. Another peculiar thing was that he didn't blink either.
Jeff could hear a small ticking sound. “DROP THAT BOX AMANDA IT’S A BOMB” Jeff yelled. Without a moment left to think, Jeff tackles Amanda through an open window as the house explodes. Dazed Amanda looks up at Jeff, “H..how could this happen, she said sadly. fate...dealt us a bad hand today...Jeff said looking around frantically.

The Museum Thief (ICW)

Santa had gathered up his friends, a witch named Mary, and the Easter bunny. They all were very upset with the events that had occurred recently. Someone was stealing their very important items. From Santa his Christmas toy sack, the witch her broom and the Easter bunny his handmade wooden basket. As they sat around the TV the saw on the TV a new museum had opened up. Lo and behold the items they held so dearly were right there staring at them from behind the man on the screen who was to be known as the museum director Mr. Smith. Devising a plan they decided to break into the museum and get the things back from Mr. Smith who they didn’t know was a cleverly disguised elf. Santa knew that to get in and see his surroundings they had to disguise themselves as everyday people. Changing how they looked the three set off to visit the museum where there stuff had been taken to. Roaming around they began seeing many other things that belonged to their friends. The tooth fairy’s wand was there and the leprechauns’ gold and even Dorothy’s red shoes. Drawing out what had to be done Santa and his friend’s devised they would come in at night when no one was around and take their precious items back. Santa who had been trained in karate was prepared to take care of any person or thing that might get in the way. The witch of course had her spells and potions. While the Easter bunny had some eggs that exploded.

The hall was silent until she heard...

The hall was silent untill she heard faint footsteps following behind her. Emily turning around  saw there was no one there. Confused she sped up seeing her friend Amanda who was farther ahead of her. Moving closer to Amanda she asked if she had heard the steps also. Amanda casually ignoring the question began to start humming. Emily who was unaware of her ordeal or what was about to happen laughed nervously beside Amanda. Emily thinking to herself frantically thought how her school was safe and no teachers would let anyone harm her. Except there was no teachers in sight. Panicing, Emily started to run toward the door at the end of the hallway. Amanda effortlessly put her foot out tripping Emily causing her to fall to the floor. A man came from the shadows to see the girl he had finally caught.
"I've been following you for hours Emily you should have just given up" the man said somewhat annoyed.
Emily who had been laying on the ground sat up confused, "What do you want from me? Who am I to you? she said rubbing her head. The man looked at her shaking his head.

Boring Day!

So today is going pretty well so far. I got to wake up later than usual. I went to class and somewhat enjoyed myself. I also discovered that they make aromatherapy highlighters because I just so happened to read the marker itself. After class I got to eat Arby's for lunch I had a arby's melt and it was decent the people didn't do that great a job with making it. After eating I had to take my dog for a walk because he was going to the vet. When I took him our other dog started crying and he made me feel bad so I took him around too. Went to the vet and everything went fine. Now I'm home bored just talking to my friends.

Required Reading "The Secondhand Bookseller"

While reading "The Secondhand Bookseller" I  could relate  with the story. Though there has not been a time I couldn't have  much pretty have whatever I wanted I did feel reading was one of those things to find peace in doing. In the house I lived in I didn't get much attention. As for the Marina I felt she was mature and very adult like. I wouldn't have the courage to ask someone for money for a book when i knew the money was tight. I liked that she had pretty much read her whole school library and wanted to read more. Once she found the secondhand book store everything seemed to go uphill from there she could buy a book and enjoy it. She gave up some of her stuff to be able to keep up with her  habit of reading.

The Life of a Brand New College Student

So this past Wednesday I started my first year of College. Over all I had a great time and a good first experience. Going to college is the first truly adult thing I've done. The students in my classes are proof that college can be for everyone. We all are at different stages in our lives. I was surprised to see how many older people and people even younger than me all gathering in one place to fulfill a common goal,  To better themselves and to hopefully improve their futures. I'm proud to be a part of this group of unique people.
